LASER-WATER JET COMPOSITE CUTTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the laser output without the possibility of fire or burning and cut a thick plate at high speed by providing a plurality of laser heads for converging laser beams to a part to be cut to which high pressure water is injected to fuse it around a water jet head. SOLUTION: A water jet head 3 is arranged so as to be vertical to an object to be cut 1, and high pressure water is injected through a nozzle 3a provided on the top end thereof. Laser heads 2 are arranged in the cutting advancing directional front and rear with the water jet head 3 between, and inclined so as to converge laser beams to a position to which the high pressure water is injected. The laser beams transmitted from a laser generating device 4 through an optical fiber 7 are converged to the cutting position by the laser heads 2 to fuse the object to be cut. The fused matter fused by the laser beams is blown out in the injecting direction by the high pressure water.
