An object is hung from a bracket containing two hooked parts for releasably locking it into holes arranged in two rows in a mounting plate. A fitting for attachment to an object being hung is provided with a plate-shaped part and a hanger frame. Two rows of holes positioned one above the other are provided in the plate for receiving a pair of hook parts in the hanger frame, each hook part being received by one hole.
