The invention concerns a device for managing an electronic component (104) with nominal serviceable voltage functioning under radiation, consisting in: during a control phase, applying to the component (104) an initial supply voltage (114) less than the nominal voltage and checking the functioning of the component; during a so-called working phase, applying to the component the nominal serviceable voltage (112); and during an inoperative phase, applying to the component an off-load voltage. The invention is applicable to computers used under radiation.
