Display device with field emitting cathode and high voltage anode

The device includes a transparent anode substrate (1) made of glass and an insulating cathode substrate (2) placed opposite the anode. The anode substrate is covered by a number of pixels each comprising red, green and blue luminophores. The cathode surface presents a corresponding number of field emitting cathode matrices (6). The matrices are covered by an insulating layer on which a focusing electrode (5) is placed. A number of spacers (4) made of glass fibre separate the two substrates.
