The method of producing mixtures of ethylmethyl compounds of plumbum with the general formula Pb(CH3)4-n(C2H5)n, where n is 0 or a natural number 1, 2, 3 or 4, through the reaction of a plumbum compound with the formula PbX - where X refers to an atom of oxygen, sulphur or two atoms of chlorine - with aluminiumorganic compounds in the presence of potassium chloride, sodium chloride, anisole or benzonitril, in the environment of an organic solvent. Characterized in that: Sesqui-chloromethyl-aluminium and sesqui-chloroethyl-aluminium are used as aluminiumorganic compunds. The reaction is carried out first with sesqui-chloromethyl-aluminium and then with sesqui-chloroethyl-aluminium, or first with sesqui-chloroethyl-aluminium and then with sesqui-chloromethyl-aluminium, or with the mixture of sesqui-chloroethyl-aluminium and sesqui-chloromethyl-aluminium at the molar ratio of 0.5 to 2. The reaction is carried out in the atmosphere of a neutral gas, at the temperature of 80 - 140 degrees C, for the period of 0.1-4 hours. 0.5 - 2 moles of the mixture of sesqui-chloroethyl-aluminium and sesqui-chloromethyl-aluminium and 0.5 - 2 moles of potassium chlorine, sodium chlorine or benzonitril are used for 1 mole of the PbX compound, where X has the meaning defined above.
