The identification band for a container comprises a band portion (6) extended at one side by a shape (5) which narrows along the band longitudinal axis. A transverse rectangular notch (7) is made in the central part of the band. A slot (4) in the horizontal part (3) of the container has two side webs (8,9) connected by a corrugated central part (10). When the band narrow part is introduced into the slot, it elastically deforms until it reaches the level of the corrugation. The band then regains its initial shape causing engagement of the corrugation in the notch and automatic locking of the band on the container. |
