An environmentally contributive cost-effective high-performance sparkpulg-cable apparatus, capable of producing a passively enhanced high-tension spark, by virtue of an inherent inductance uniquely generated via the special coaxially capacitive construction. The basic sparkplug-cable is substantially conventional from its distributor attached inward-terminus to its sparkplug attached outward-terminus, in that it is made up of core-wire covered by a thick insulating material. The novel construction involves provision of a preferably tightly braided metallic coaxial-sleeve arranged to cover the core-wire for a length of from 7-20 inches (dependent upon engine characteristics), beginning from about 1-3 inches from the sparkpulg-terminal. An outer protective dielectric sheathing is preferably included through which a short pigtail-wire is routed from the braided material, for grounded connection to the engine-block. The resulting phenomenal performance output is caused by the core-wire thus becoming an inductive conductor, the outer braided portion an interacting conductor; in essence creating a parallel-capacitor arrangement. A much fatter spark is thus provided from a given primary current rating, that is thus able to instantly interface a greater number of fuel-molecules, resulting in a more rapid, thorough and intense ignition action; for higher power and economy, but relatively lower exhaust-temperature. |
