The invention relates to a system for smoking (21) where adisposable (for single smoking) cigarette (23) containing materialhaving tobacco flavour is electrically heated by a set of electricheating elements fitted in a lighter (25) in order to cause theseparation of tobacco flavours or other components in a gaseous oraerosol form to the smoker. The cigarette (23) and the lighter(25) are adapted so that the air stream gets across the smokingsystem in such a way that the air gets laterally across thecigarette (23). In this way the feeding of aerosol and flavour tothe smoker is improved and the condensation of residual vapoursand aerosols in the zone of heating the smoking system is reduced.
