The invention refers to a piece of equipment for measuring the gliding capacity of varnished conductors which move at constant speed between two plates, a fixed (1) and a mobile one (4). The mobile plate powers a force transducer (8), which outputs a signal proportional to the friction force. The signal is amplified by a Wheatstone bridge (B); the output signal from gauge bridge (B) is processed electronically by a piece of electronic equipment which stores 50 measurements into its memory, processes the data and displays the arithmetic mean, the lowest and the highest value of the 50 measurements.
