A crop spreader, a blade therefor and methods of use thereof

A spreader (1) for spreading a cut crop is provided. The spreader (1) is used in combination with a crop mower so that the cut crop is cast to the side of the mower's path. The spreader (1) has a plurality of spreader blades (7) attached to a rotatable body (2). The position of the blades (7) can be varied for different crops and different terrain. Each blade (7) has a straight edge and an edge with an angled portion. Each blade (7) can be positioned in the spreader (1) so that either the straight edge or the edge with the angled portion is the leading edge depending on the type of crop to be spread.
