<p>Absorbent article such as a sanitary napkin, a panty liner or an incontinence pad, comprising a first absorbent part (2) and a second part (3), whereby both the first part (2) and the second part (3) have a substantially elongate shape with a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction, with each part having two end portions (10, 11; 35, 36), whereby the two parts (2, 3) are mutually joined solely at their end portions (10, 11; 35, 36). The second part (3) is curved in the longitudinal direction and has high resistance to flexure along flexure lines parallel to the article's transverse direction both in a wet and dry condition, while the first part (2) in a non-influenced condition has a lesser extension in a longitudinal direction than the second part and comprises at least one elastically extensible region (12) in the longitudinal direction.</p> |
