<p>The invention concerns a device for supplying flat products (P) individually to a processing station, comprising a feed attachment (2) including a wall (4) with substantially vertical orientation against which the products are juxtaposed and an system extracting (16) said products to supply them individually to processing posts. The extraction system comprises means applying (18) a force to press against said wall the product (P1) nearest thereto, means driving (40) said nearest product to move it upwards, grasping means (42) loading said product after it has been moved over a predetermined distance by the driving means, means sensing (72) that the product has been loaded by the grasping means, and control means (28) responding to the sensing means for controlling the force applying means such that they exert said force as long as the product has not been loaded by the grasping means and cease applying same when the product has been loaded, so that the products other than the one in contact with the wall fall back in the feed. The invention is useful for feeding sheets of paper or cards to a scanner, reader, a computer peripheral or a printer.</p> |
