An embroidery auxiliary member which is superposed on a base fabric, sewn with the base fabric by embroidery yarns and then removed, comprising a spacer made of a material soluble in tetrachloroethylene, used for forming a cubic embroidery by embroidery yarns and having a predetermined thickness, and a support sheet made of a material soluble in tetrachloroethylene, for supporting the base fabric during the embroidering work. An embroidery method using the spacer comprises the steps of placing the spacer on the base fabric, sewing the base fabric by the embroidery yarns through the spacer and dissolving the spacer by tetrachloroethylene. An embroidery method using the support sheet comprises the steps of supporting the support sheet in a flat state, placing the base fabric on the support sheet, sewing the base fabric along with the support sheet by the embroidery yarns and dissolving the support sheet by tetrachloroethylene. The embroidery method utilizing the spacer, wherein a cubic embroidery product having unique appearance can be obtained by sewing the embroidery yarns in the net form.
