A tetrafluoroethylene copolymer comprising 30 to 81 % by mole of tetrafluorethylene and 70 to 19 % by mole of at least one other monomer, wherein the polymer chain is terminated with a carbonate group and which has a melt flow rate (200 °C, load 5 kg) of 0.1 to 100 g/10 min and a melting point of 90 to 200 °C. The copolymer can be directly and firmly bonded to other materials, such as general-purpose resins, while maintaining the excellent chemical resistance, weather resistance, solvent resistance, nontackiness, electrical insulating properties, antifouling properties, and flame retardancy inherent in fluororesins, can be molded at a lower temperature than the conventional fluororesins, heat-fused to and coextrudable together with general-purpose resins not possessing heat resistance, and can be molded at low temperature.
|
