ELECTRIC PRECIPITATOR AND ELECTRIC PRECIPITATION ELECTRODE USED FOR THE SAME

An electric precipitator in which a plurality of discharge poles are divided into groups and arranged at each of gas flow passages divided by a plurality of electric precipitation electrodes (11-15). The discharge electrodes in each group are connected so that the electrodes may be supplied with the output voltage of a common power unit through diodes and, at the same time, connected to a spark electrode (21). The electrode (21) is positioned in a hammer passing section so that the electrode (21) may emit sparks when the hammer (20) passes through the section. Each discharge electrode group is made to cause ground faults immediately before the above electrodes (11-15) on both sides are hammered.
