There is a device, in which a support plate 1 comprises an opening 2 and transverse bar 6 crossing this opening, and two slits 7 are provided, one each between one opening edge piece and one edge of the transverse bar, in which a panel 3 is set into the opening 2, which (panel) engages with a resiliently flexible flange 4 through each of the slits 7 and engages with a detent nose 5 behind the slit edge, and in which a slit-bordering ledge 8 is formed on each opening edge piece and each edge of the transverse bar. An arresting device for the inserted panel is provided on the support plate itself. This is achieved in that the one slit-bordering ledge is formed as an arresting tongue 9, movable transversely to the length of the slit with elastic bending, which (tongue) is disposed obliquely, pressing with its free end against the flange 4. The one slit-bordering ledge, which in any case is present, is constructed and used as an arresting tongue movable with elastic bending, with the result that the arresting device is quite considerably simplified in its cost.
