FIELD: glass industry. SUBSTANCE: method consists in contacting of glass mass with molding surface coated with a layer of medium-melting metal whose melting point is lower than temperature of glass transition of glass mass. In contact of high-temperature glass mass with metal layer, film of metal melt is formed on which polished surface of glass is formed. The method allows production of polished glass of all types (figured, optical, household, etc.). EFFECT: higher efficiency.
