To fill an opening an a bone with bone cement, for fitting a prosthesis, the bone cement is delivered through a feed line in a constant vol. flow of 0.2-7.0 cm<3>/sec., and the flow is stopped when the pressure in the bone cement reaches a given value of 200-3000 mm Hg. The bone cement feed (11) has a control to ensure that the bone cement is pressed through the feed line (15) in a constant vol. flow. A switch (13) stops the flow when the pressure of the bone cement reaches a set level at the supply vessel (10) and/or in the feed line (15).
