PURPOSE:To provide the method for manufacturing a transparent fluorinated resin coated stainless steel sheet small in coloring caused by a chromate film. CONSTITUTION:A phosphated stainless steel is coated with a chromate treating soln. having a compsn. contg. 1 to 40g/l total Cr ions and phosphoric acid ions and in which, by weight ratio, Cr<3+>/Cr<6+>=0.6 to 2.0 and phosphoric acid ions/total Cr ions=0.5 to 2.0 or a treating soln. mixed with silica so that, by weight, silica/total Cr ions will be regulated to 0.1 to 4.0 by 5 to 40mg/m<2> expressed in terms of metallic chromium, which is dried without executing washing, is coated with a transparent fluorinated coating material and is dried. |
