TDM signals are transmitted from a head station in of point-to-multipoint direction and burst signals are transmitted in the multipoint-to-point direction by individual multi-point stations. Said signals are combined to a TDMA signal for the head station on at least one splitter and the user data transmitted from individual multi-point stations is made up of allocated control channels and data channels grouped in a single frame. The invention provides that the control channels (CC) and the data channels (B) for each multi-point station (ONU) are transmitted separately.
