The safety switching device automatically switches on or off electric circuits, water or gas lines, in response to one or more central door keys. The switching device may be completely integrated in a fuse-box. Mechanical key switches with indicator lamps may be integrated in the fuse-box, the electromagnetic or electronic components of the switching device being accommodated in their own case. Alternatively, the fuse-box, mechanical key switches with indicator lamps and the electromagnetic or electronic components of the switching device may be accommodated in their own cases.
