Foot control device for diagnostic imaging device

The foot control device uses a plate (12) which has an upper surface divided into a number of function fields (13), provided with respective sensors (17) for detecting applied foot pressure. The sensors detect the foot position to supply corresponding information to an information unit providing control of corresponding functions of the device. The function fields and the foot position are displayed on a monitor for direct viewing by of the operator.
