Control of electrical energy supplied to air heating element of washer-dryer

An innovative method controls air heating power of a washer-dryer, especially a dryer with outgoing air. This comprises a drying chamber with air inlet and outlet. The heater (1) precedes the inlet and is under programmed control. Before heater operation is commenced, a temperature sensor measures the room air temperature TR. Here, the new feature is a sensor also determining the relative humidity of the room air. Heater programmed control by the microprocessor (8), is thus a function of both room air temperature and its relative humidity.
