Fixation of the handle bars is achieved via a pressing force acting at the highest point of the fork of the bicycle to be stored in the direction of the rail. With transport in the interior of a road vehicle the rail (1) with the aid of a clamp device (6) comprising one or more withdrawable support tubes is fixable between the side walls of the road vehicle interior. Support components (7) for the handle bars locating points can be fitted on the rail. On the long sides (1a, 1b) of the rail (1) fixture devices for the rope-type loop (3) are provided. If the loop is to be fixed by snap links (4), simple holes (8a) are formed in a longitudinally running side rail (8).
