The trough shaped conveyor belt has a reception surface (1) to enable the spreading of impacts received by successive contacts between its different constituent components. These are cables (2) suspended transversely to the direction of the endless belt (7), sliding blocks (3) arranged in a trellis (10) on two cables and shock absorber pins (4) which support the trellis. The absorption of the impacts resulting from material falling onto the belt is obtained by absorbing successively the play between the belt and the trellis, by the distribution of the load between the sliding blocks, by bending of the cables and by compression of the absorber pins.
