The invention concerns a device comprising first means measuring (DB) data concerning the instantaneous fuel mass consumed by the vehicle, second means measuring (AN1, AN2) the instantaneous concentration of said agent in the exhaust gases, and means processing (UT) capable of determining, for each pollutant concerned, the corresponding mass content, based on the values of the measurements delivered by the first and second measuring means, and the instantaneous carbon concentration in the exhaust gases. The invention is applicable to high dynamics engine test installations.
