The machine (110) has a continuous photoreceptive member which is rotated in a first direction by a drive unit. A charging unit (R) charges the photoreceptive unit. An exposure unit (104) exposes the photoreceptive unit so as to produce a latent image on the photoreceptive member. A development unit (108) develops latent image with toner to produce a toner image on the photoreceptive member. A transfer unit (T) transfers toner image from photoreceptive member onto a substrate. A cleaning unit (106) removes residual toner particles from photoreceptive member. A transfer unit is located at downstream of cleaning unit. The charging unit, cleaning unit, exposure unit, development unit and transfer unit are arranged in the order. |
