<p>A method for controlling a rotary storage medium having an electronic circuit for controlling connection between an electronic circuit section and an external unit to improve performance of an entire system, and a system therefor. In a system including an intelligent disk (1) having a double-side structure attachable to/detachable from a drive unit (11) capable of storing information and processing information, an electronic circuit (2) is mounted on at least one side or both sides of the intelligent disk (1), and a CPU (21) is provided in the electronic circuit (2), thus controlling the intelligent disk (1) so that the contents of a disk surface (3) of the intelligent disk (1) are transferred or loaded to an external unit (10) at the time of rotation or mechanical operation of the intelligent disk (1) (S36-S37) and so that the CPU (21) controls the external unit (10) at the time of non-operation of the intelligent disk (1).</p> |
