PROCESS FOR PRODUCING LABELED ARTICLE

A process for producing a labeled article, characterized by bonding to an article a heat-sensitive self-adhesive label having a self-adhesive layer which consists of a self-adhesive composition and is obtained by: forming a wet film of an aqueous emulsion composition containing (A) a water-soluble resin comprising a resin having an acid value of 1 meq/q or higher and neutralized with a base and (B) a polymer abtained by the emulsion polymerization of a radical-polymerizable monomer and having and acid value of 0.6 meq/q or lower and a glass transition temperature of -20 DEG C or lower; drying the wet film at below 60 DEG C to obtain a film (1) having a two-phase structure in which particles of ingredient (B) are dispersed in a continuous phase of ingredient (A); and heating the dry film at 60 DEG C or higher to invert the two-phase structure composed of ingredients (A) and (B) and thus convert the film (1) into a self-adhesive film (2) in which particles of ingredient (A) are dispersed in a continuous phase of ingredient (B).
