<p>Novel thiazolidinedione derivatives represented by general formula (I) or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof, which are useful as remedies for diabetes, wherein the broken line represents a single or double bond; the thiazolidinedione ring residue is bonded to any of the 2-, 3-, 4-, 5- and 6-positions of the indole ring; and R represents hydrogen or a group selected from the group consisting of alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, phenyl, aralkyl, heterocyclic alkyl, arylsulfonyl and arylaminocarbonyl.</p> |
