The present invention relates to a thermo-electrical module that comprises p- and n-type semi-conductor members which are connected by electrical conductors. This module also includes heat-conducting metallic members each connected to said electrical conductors through a polymeric isolation material such as polyimide. The layer of the polymeric isolation material has a thickness (b) that represents from 0.004 to 0.05 time the distance (a) between the opposite end surfaces of each semi-conductor member. Each heat-conducting metallic member has a thickness (c) which represents at least 0.2 time said distance (a) between the opposite end surfaces of each semi-conductor member.
