A barrel neck fitting tool comprises a first pressure disc (11) and a second pressure disc (21). Disc (21) is carried on a fixed handle (22) and has a slot (23). Disc (11) carries a rod (12) with a catch (14) which can engage in slot (23) to join the discs. Disc (11) carries a pivoted lever (17) with a cam (19) on the end. The discs (11,21) engage on flanges (30,31) of two barrel neck parts and are connected by catch (14). The cam (19) is operated to force the discs (11,21) towards each other and thereby assemble the barrel neck parts into a barrel neck assembly. <IMAGE>
