FIELD: metallurgy, processing of dry fusion cakes in purification of lead from antimony, tin and arsenic, and in some from calcium, magnesium and zinc. SUBSTANCE: fusion cake of lead alkali purification are melted with solid reducing agent and quartz flux in ratio of SiO<SB>2</SB>:Na<SB>2</SB>O=(1.0-2.0):1 and carbon consumption in solid reducing agent of 3.5-5.2%. In processing of fusion cakes containing oxides of zinc, calcium and magnesium, smelting is carried out with ratio of Na<SB>2</SB>O:(Zn+CaO+MgO)=1.4 and above. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 tbli
