FIELD: roasting of construction materials in rotary furnaces, non-ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: given chain curtain of rotary furnace is manufactured from screwed rows of freely hanging chains arranged uniformly over circumference. Additional screw rows of freely hanging chains which length amounts to 0.2-0.7 length of chains in key rows are placed between key chain rows. Relation of mass of chains in additional and key screw rows is 0.1-0.85. EFFECT: diminished size of granules of dried burden, of dust drag-out, decreased specific consumption of fuel, chains and lining, increased productivity and campaign of furnace, improved quality of products of heat treatment. 1 cl, 2 dwgd
