PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an optical disk and a variety of optical disks having different specifications to be a reproducing state capable of exactly reproducing information with a low error rate independent of the reflectivity of the optical disk. SOLUTION: In an optical disk device converging a light beam from a light source 1 on an optical disk 6 through a converging means and reproducing information recorded in the optical disk 6, an amplitude level decision circuit 26 for deciding the amplitude level of a signal being generated, based on a reflected light beam from the optical disk 6, is provided. The light output power of the light source 1 is changed over so as to suit for the disk in accordance with the decided output of the amplitude level. |
