PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently press in a contact pin, which is temporarily inserted in the inclined condition, by elastically holding a press-in head with a guide unit interposed between the press-in head and a press-in means, and setting the pushing force to be applied to the contact pin at a degree, in which deformation of the contact pin is not generated, with the guide unit. SOLUTION: A board 3, in which a pin contact 1 is temporarily inserted, is moved by a printed board holding means, and the contact pin 1 is positioned just under a press-in head 20. A pressure receiver head 9, which is formed with pin insertion holes 9A for plural contact pins 1, is raised so as to abut on a back surface of the printed board 3. At this stage, even in the case where a connector is temporarily inserted in the inclined condition, the contact pins 1A are inserted into the pin insertion holes 9A of the pressure receiver head 9. When the press-in head 20 is lowered, an upper part of the contact pin 1A abuts on a chamfering part 20b of an opening of a pin insertion part 20a of the press-in head 20, and the upper part of the contact pin 1A slides on the inclined surface 20c of the chamfering part 20b and enters the pin insertion part 20a. |
