PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile radio communication system having a position detection function of a mobile station in which a position of a mobile station is located within a smaller range in a cell covered by a base station, the position detection means to reduce traffic caused by improving detection accuracy of position information is provided and the detected position information is effectively utilized. SOLUTION: An estimated distance of a mobile station 101 to each peripheral base station is calculated based on radio wave strength information from pluralities of peripheral base stations 103-105 received by the mobile station 101, position and covered cell information (expressed in a circle/ellipse or the like with a size according to a transmission radio wave strength) of the peripheral base stations 103-105 stored in a database 107 of an in-zone base station obtained by the communication between the mobile station 101 and the in-zone base station 103, and the obtained position information of the mobile station is displayed by the mobile station itself and the mobile station 102 of the communication opposite party. Moreover, the estimated distance is calculated by the base station or the mobile station and transmitted to the user making a communication. |
