PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image carrier unit capable of obtaining sure and stable contact states with abutting members and surely driving and excellent in durability and operability. SOLUTION: A thin cylindrical image carrier 140 having flexibility is supported by a pair of disk like members (120 and 130) rotatably attached to a shaft 110 not rotating by itself and fitted to the shaft 110 in the inside of the image carrier 140. A cleaning member 210, an electrifying roller 220 and a transfer roller 230 are brought into contact with the image carrier 140 from the outside. Backup members 151-153 for supporting the image carrier 140 from the inside are provided in the abutting positions and energized by an energizing means 160. The above-mentioned disk like members are provided with positioning parts for the backup members 151-153. |
