PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character font making device and method capable of easily making fonts as a user likes. SOLUTION: The character font making device has a character recognition part 120 to judge what characters are uses holograph data, a comparison part 122 to compare coordinate data for user holographs with outline font data for basic fonts, a feature extraction part 124 to extract the feature of the user holographs in accordance with the comparison data, a feature storage part 126 to store the feature data for the extracted user holographs and a feature change part 128 to change the outline font data for the basic fonts in accordance with the feature data for the user holographs. In this way, a less number of input characters are used to easily make fonts with a character style as a user likes for many or all characters. |
