PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a telephone set which is compact and inexpensive by providing a telephone housing part in a body, an external microphone, an external speaker and a control circuit which performs transmitting and receiving control of a voice signal of an internal microphone and an input-output terminal of an internal speaker and providing the external speaker on the bottom of the telephone housing part upward. SOLUTION: A body 1 that is inserted into a case C has a telephone hosing part 2 into which a portable telephone 20 is inserted and housed. The part 2 is formed in a cylindrical shape with a bottom, and an external microphone 3 and an external speaker 4 whose tips are externally exposed are provided, adjoining it. Because the speaker 4 is provided upward on the bottom of the part 2, voice that is outputted from the speaker 4 just propagates through space of the part 2 and is externally outputted from an upper opening. Thereby, the voice is clearly transmitted to a user without becoming indistinct.
