The heat engine is designed such that the complete work cycle is completed over two revolutions, with one ignition per turn. It is formed with three separate chambers, with a piston with two opposing heads (5, 6), which slide in a cylinder (4). The cylinder itself slides perpendicularly with the parallelepipedic casing (18), such that it creates a chamber on each side of the cylinder. Gasses are transferred from one cylinder to the other by means of a series of ports, which are controlled for opening and closing by the displacement of the various parts and their positional relationships with each other. The two pistons are connected together by means of a rigid link (21), which is pierced centrally by the crank pin (22) of the crankshaft (7).
