PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous secondary battery with little self-discharge when storing at a high temperature with high capacity, at the same time, having superior cycle characteristic at high temperatures and further more with little amount of gas generation. SOLUTION: This secondary battery is provided with a negative electrode active material that can discharge lithium ion absorption, an positive electrode active material consisting of a lithium containing compound oxide that can discharge lithium ion absorption, and a lithium conductive nonaqueous electrolytic solution. In this case, a spinel system lithium manganese compound oxide shown by Li1+x Mn2-x O4-y Xx (where X denotes halogen elements, and x, y, and z are respectively 0.02<x<=0.2, 0<=y<=0.5, 0.01<=z<=0.5) is used as the positive electrode active materials. |
