PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turntable capable of suppressing the slip of media by suppressing the error in the read/write of data due to the surface wobbling of the turntable of a rotation driving device and also increasing the frictional force in the manner of expanding the contact surface with the media. SOLUTION: This rotation driving device for rotationally driving a body to be rotated is furnished with the turntable 1 for mounting a driving body to be rotated, the rotation driving part for rotationally driving the turntable 1 and a surface wobbling absorbing part 2 formed on the peripheral edge part on the turntable 1 to be the ununiform thickness in the peripheral direction, then the device is formed so that the relation among the thickness (h), width (d) of the surface wobbling absorbing part 2 and a contact angleθbetween the surface wobbling absorbing part 2 and turntable 1, is to be h>d.tan(θ/2)/2.
