PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a video reproducing device that reproduces a still image in place of a dynamic image which is not stored if a dynamic image to be reproduced has not been stored. SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of a reproduction start message in a step 214, a file to be reproduced is retrieved in a step 216 and if no file has been stored in a step 218, the file of a still image similar to that of a background image of the file not stored in the step 226 is retrieved. Further when a file of a still image is discriminated as being stored in a step 228, background video data of the file of the still image are read in a step 222. Thus, the occurrence of an event in which no background image is reproduced is avoided. |
