<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen the field angle by preventing the orientation of liquid crystal from being disordered with the electric fields of a TFT(thin film transistor) and its electrode line and excellently dividing pixels. SOLUTION: A TFT is formed by providing a drain electrode 11, a source electrode 12, a drain line, a semiconductor layer 14, a gate insulating film 15, a gate electrode 16, and a gate line on a substrate 10 and on an insulating film 28 between flattening layers covering TFTs and their electrode lines, reflection electrodes 29 are formed and connected to source electrodes 12. A common electrode 31 is provided with an orientation control window 32 formed having no electrode, the orientation of liquid crystal molecules 41 is controlled with the oblique electric field 42 of the edges of the reflection electrodes 29 and the weak electric field of the orientation control window 32, and the pixels are divided without disordering the orientation with electric fields from the TFTs and their electrode lines.</p> |
