PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the fire proofing property of fireproof wires, and provide a fireproof wire resistant to use for a longer time even when it is exposed to a high heat or flame in a fire by forming the fireproof layer of a fireproof cable obtained by covering a conductor with a fireproof layer and successively covering the outside with an insulator and a sheath by use of a silicone resin and a glass fiber as the base materials. SOLUTION: This fireproof wire is obtained by covering a conductor 1 with a fireproof layer 2 and successively covering the outside thereof with an insulator 3 and a sheath 4. In the formation of the fireproof layer 2, a dimethyl silicone resin or methylphenyl silicone resin is used as the silicone resin. As the glass fiber, a one having a fiber length of 1-100 microns, preferably 20-80 microns, and a fiber diameter of 1-20 microns, preferably 5-15 microns is used. In the formation of the fireproof layer, blending of a diluent and a silane coupling agent is preferred in order to smoothly form a fireproof layer excellent in fire proofing property. |
