PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector assembly of a structure, in which a stable contact between a grounding terminal and a grounding shell are always obtained and large-size can be avoided. SOLUTION: An electrical connector assembly for substrate-to-substrate consists of a plug-type connector 1 and a receptacle-type connector 2 engaged with each other. The plug-type connector 1 is provided with an insulation housing 3 in which a plug part 6 is formed, a plurality of terminals 4, and a grounding shell 5 mounted so as to cover an exterior wall of the plug part 6. The receptacle-type connector 2 is provided with an insulation housing 15, in which a receptacle part 17 is formed and a plurality of terminals 16. Of the plurality of terminals 16 of the receptacle-type connector 16, at least one terminal 16 is integrally provided with a secondary contact piece 21 extending to the receptacle part 17, so as to bring into elastic contact with and engage with an outside wall of the grounding shell 5. |
