PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic broadcasting system for hardly generating an inverted view. SOLUTION: Four video signals (interlace field signals) ϕ1-ϕ4 are generated by photographing an object from four directions and the video data (non- interlace frame signals) DATA1 and DATA2 of two channels are generated by synthesizing the video signals ϕ1 and ϕ3 and ϕ2 and ϕ4 and transmitted. On a reception side, the video signals ϕ1-ϕ4 are restored and stereoscopic video images are displayed at the stereoscopic display monitor of a four eye type.
