PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting condition capable of deciding whether or not a device corresponds to an energy star standard with an inexpensive part (a power supply swith:several hundred yens) substituted for an operating part unit. SOLUTION: An image forming device such as a copying machine is provided with switch discriminating means TR1 and TR2 for discriminating whether a power supply switch 1 is one which can cut off without operation by an operator or not (whether a coil 12 is provided or not). Further, the image forming device is provided with a first control means OUT1 for cutting off the power supply switch 1 to stop the supply of power to the image forming device, after a copying operation is completed and then, an arbitrary time lapses and a second control means OUT3 for cutting off only the supply of the power to a fixing device 3, etc., of the image forming device and not the power supply switch 1, after the copying operation is completed and then, the arbitrary time lapses. Either of the first or second control means OUT1, OUT3 is made to function according to the result of the discrimination of the switch discriminating means TR1 and TR2. |
