PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver which normally receives even in a receiving environment with a multi-path. SOLUTION: A comparator 18 compares, with a threshold of a predetermined range, an output from an integrator 17 which integrates a detected frequency offset value that is detected by a frequency offset detector circuit 7 based on a reference symbol for frequency offset detection a changeover switch circuit 10 selects a detection frequency offset value that is detected by a frequency offset detector circuit 8 based on a phase difference of a delay detection output when an output of the integrator 17 is within the range of the threshold, and selects a detection frequency offset value that is detected by the circuit 7 when an output of the integrator 17 is not within the range of the threshold, and automatic frequency control is performed based on a selected detection frequency offset value.
